8/1/2010 WEAKNESS FOR HIS GLORY (Amplified Bible Used) Psalm 121:2 “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth”. When we accept Jesus as our Savior and make Him the Lord of our life, we begin a journey of spiritual growth as we yield our will to His will for our life. We need to study His Word and apply it daily to our life and learn to submit to Him, as we learn His Word. Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and shield”. We are not alone; He is with us when we yield our all to Him. I am so encouraged by Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is my strength”. When I yield my life to the Lord, I can confess 2 Corinthians 12:10 “So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships and distresses: for when I am weak (in human strength) I am strong in Him”. Hallelujah!!!! As we grow in the Lord and learn more about Him, we can apply His Word and we can confess as Jesus did in Luke 22:42 “Father, if You are willing, let this cup pass from me; yet not my own will but Your will be done”. If Jesus submitted to the Father on my behalf, how much more do I need to commit my all to Him. Jesus said, “I didn’t come to do my own will but the will of He who sent me”. We somehow feel we must be strong in the eyes of those around us but our real strength comes from yielding to God and giving glory to Him to all we talk with. We must grasp and understand the price Jesus paid for our deliverance and to turn our weakness into strength to bring glory to God. Meditate on this: Esther 2:15b “Esther won favor in the sight of all who saw her”.
